This is a great honor and most deserving of someone I can call Mom too... Aunty Patsy and my Mom were in labor at Georgetown hospital, both with boys, Christopher came August 10th and then Gregory August 11th... I have the fondest memories of the Gomes family since I can remember and cherish the bond we share over the years.
Aunty Pasty is truly an Icon and a very special person to all who know her. We are very proud of you and thank you for sharing all you have over the years.
A Guyana-born journalist has done her former homeland proud by being a Pulitzer finalist and copping the 2010 Dart Award for a series of investigative stories about the brutal treatment meted out to inmates at a boy’s home. Hi Folks: An article in the Washington Post about a young opera singer, Alyson Cambridge, who grew up in the Washington, DC area, and whose father was from Guyana. The article did not name her father. A little internet research turned up a picture of Alyson and her father, Richard. Further searching revealed that Richard Cambridge was at the World bank for several years and is now a professor at American University. Richard is the brother of Charlie and Vibert Cambridge. They are all Phds.

Patricia Cummings received an award last night for women of distinction from the Girl Scouts Assoc of Binghamton NB. Many old St Roses girls would remember her Mom as a teacher and I believe Vice principal at Roses and her Father was Justice PA Cummings...Her sister Beverly who also attended St Roses was also my very good friend..
